From B2B to B2C & more: Helping our clients pivot during COVID-19 - Digital Fuel Marketing

As the coronavirus continues to impact the health, business operations and economies of the world, the Digital Fuel Marketing team are working hard to support our clients – both old and new – with their unprecedented business, technology and leadership challenges.

The COVID-19 outbreak is driving businesses to adapt quickly, to change or redesign their services and products - occasionally even needing to create new ones - to respond to the demands of the many people self-isolating around the world. These are unprecedented times and we are pleased to be on hand to assist our clients as they aim to pivot through the outbreak utilising change and innovation.

Over the last few weeks we have helped one of our Australian office’s long-term clients, Sydney based food wholesaler Two Providores, to change their business. Established in the market for over 45 years they have never had to face a challenge as great as the situation right now.

Two Providores has always been a B2B only operation, servicing high-end commercial premises across New South Wales. When the Coronavirus outbreak hit Australia, and the government-mandated the closure of bars and restaurants, Two Providores quickly made the decision to pivot to a B2C operation.

Having built their B2B facing website just over a year ago, the Digital Fuel design and development team were able to assist Two Providores in changing their website to accept orders from the public. Consumers are now able to order in bulk from Two Providores and have their groceries delivered to their homes, ideal for those in self-isolation. The shift from B2B to enabling orders from all customers has been a huge success, with multiple orders coming through the site from day one of the relaunch.

We also work with a number of sports betting operators who are addressing the unique challenge of having seen all major sports leagues and events put on hold whilst the pandemic unfolds. Our content team have been working with clients to review and redesign ongoing content plans, shifting to more evergreen and engaging sports content in the absence of live events to cover, whilst our paid media team have been adjusting media budgets to focus on online casino and esports where operators offer these products alongside traditional sportsbooks.

The coronavirus outbreak has taken all of us by surprise and if you weren’t entirely prepared for COVID-19, you’re not alone. Digital Fuel Marketing are here to assist all of our existing clients, as well as to support any businesses who may require help or advice on how to pivot during these challenging times. If you have any concerns about the right approach for your business moving forward, please get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to support you and your team.
